CEO Dare to Cure

Every year for the past 3 years I have been taking part is an amazing fundraising activity called the CEO Dare to Cure campaign.

It is run by the Children’s Cancer Institute www.ccia.org.au (CCI)

Every year 950 Australian children and adolescents will be diagnosed with cancer. Every week nearly three Australian children and adolescents will die of cancer.

We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, now imagine hearing the words ‘your child has cancer’. This year more than 1000 families will hear those words and you may not know, but cancer still kills more kids in Australia than any other disease.

I believe this is kids dying every week is too many, that’s why this year I have agreed to step out of my comfort zone again for the third year in a row and raise funds to find a cure for the brave kids who face the fear of treatment every single day.

$2,600 will fund the development of life-saving minimal residual disease tests to detect one child’s risk of relapse from leukaemia.

These amazing folks at the CCI have a great vision  “Our vision is to save lives of all children with cancer and improve their long-term health , through research.”

This year we have come up with a new idea to raise as mush as we can for the kids and we hope you will help us.
